- Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, date of birth when you create an account.
- Library Data: Library name, address, contact details, shift configurations (for library owners).
- Membership Data: Seat assignments, shift allocations, membership dates, payment records.
- Usage Data: Study session durations, attendance records, timetable entries, journal entries.
- Device Information: Browser type, device type, IP address for security and push notifications.
- Payment Data: Transaction IDs and payment status. We do NOT store card numbers — payments are processed by Razorpay.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the Platform services.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions.
- To send notifications (attendance PINs, payment reminders, membership alerts).
- To generate analytics and reports for library owners.
- To improve the Platform based on usage patterns.
- To communicate important updates about the service.
3. Data Sharing
We do NOT sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Razorpay: For processing payments securely.
- Brevo (Sendinblue): For sending transactional emails (password reset, notifications).
- Library Owners: Member data is visible to the library owner who manages their library.
- Law Enforcement: If required by law or valid legal process.
4. Data Storage and Security
- Data is stored on MongoDB Atlas cloud servers with encryption at rest.
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text.
- All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.
- API endpoints are protected with JWT authentication and rate limiting.
- Payment credentials (Razorpay keys) are stored with restricted access.
5. Push Notifications
We use Web Push API to send notifications about attendance PINs, payment reminders, holiday announcements, and support messages. You can opt out of push notifications at any time through your browser settings. Push subscriptions are stored securely and deleted when you unsubscribe.
6. Cookies and Local Storage
We use cookies for authentication (JWT tokens) and localStorage for user preferences (theme, timer settings, focus music selection). We do not use third-party tracking cookies.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data.
- Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and data.
- Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Opt-out: Unsubscribe from notifications at any time.

8. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us for removal.
9. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, data is permanently removed within 30 days. Payment records may be retained for up to 7 years as required by Indian tax laws.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
